Reviews
A must buy!Review date: 2010-03-17 Rating: 10 out of 10If your going to buy any book on modifying engines then this should be your first port of call.
It's such a good reference book I have seen a highly respected engine builder using it for referenceA superb book, highly recommended!Review date: 2010-01-06 Rating: 10 out of 10I've been around modified cars for over 10 years now, but much of the terminology discussed by others can be confusing, and it is hard to know who has any truth in their 'tales' and ideas of what is worth modifying.
This book really does cover all aspects of tuning/modifying a 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and is therefore applicable to the majority of NA cars in the UK. It covers everything from fuel types, cam specs, head/bottom end modifications, cooling/induction etc etc, and not only discusses what can be done, but also what is and isn't worth doing for different applications (e.g. road use, track use etc).
If you have any interest in modified cars and engines, then this book is a seriously worthwhile read!Good but more motorcycle stuff please!Review date: 2009-03-09 Rating: 8 out of 10I can't not recommend this book because it contains so much good information.
I would have given 5 stars but I just don't enjoy reading this book that much (yes I've read it more than once) because there is a lack of information relating to motorcycles and there are too many specific car examples.Excellent!Review date: 2008-10-31 Rating: 10 out of 10I cant write anything about this book that it hadnt been wrote before. Except for "why are you still reading reviews about it when you should be buying it?"
