Good book and wide covereage

I have read a fair few books on engine building and tuning. This is probably the most complete if you are looking for a book that will explain the basics of engine building (mostly based around American V8 Engines).
Most of the topics covered are how to build an engine mainly to standard spec, there is a bit of content of engine tunning but minor stuff.
The illustrations are good and explanations are clear.
The only gripe I have with this book is that it doesn't cover european engines 4 or 6 cilinders in any detail.
